Chicago Lakeshore No. 2 - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

This series is a slow-going labor of love. All the photographs are made with a large format panoramic view camera on 4”x10” color negative film. They’re all very long exposures, in the five minute range, which causes a smoothing of any water or clouds and yields a surreal esthetic. The time exposure also causes any pedestrians to disappear, leaving the viewer alone with their own interpretation of the scene. The film is drum scanned at 4000dpi, which produces a 640 megapixel file. The images are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper, which produces stunning outputs.
