[PRINTS only] The first shots of Gilles as a photographer began in international cities like London, Paris, New York, where his eye is attracted more by the new architecture, the deconstructivism, the structural expression of minimalistic or futuristic buildings. He came back to France in 2018! The main part of his pictures are taken in beautiful London. He made first a difficult decision to travel to the United Kingdom in 2014! Such a hard change of life, new culture, new job, new friends, new everything :) But this has really matured his artistic mindset and thanks to this all, as he has developed his photographer's eyes. This was the beginning of this new life. London is such a great city to take pictures. Buildings and monuments are so awesome and he can really find design in all of them. Now, he lives in the centre of France where you can see everyday tractors and cows and this is really refreshing. You should try! But, yes, you're right...there's not one high building there... Most often, the volumes are fragmented, irregular, disproportionate, sometimes even broken organic. These elements translate the movement as if the structure darted upwards, metamorphosed or fell. Architectural volumes create a kind of connectivity with the sky around them. Finally, having your head up is the best way to open your imagination.
