About The Artwork
Cuba is an amazing place; the culture, the people, the pride of their Country. This picture was taken during the winter of 2017 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. The image was captured less than 2 months after Fidel Castro's death. This photograph represents the weight Cubans felt for the death of Castro. This was taken in-camera, with no post manipulation, at the Plaza De La Revolucion, in Santiago de Cuba. The same city where Fidel Castro is laid to rest. The visual tone of the clouds, with Lt. Antonio Maceo on his horse, and the spikes representing machetes, symbolizes the loss of a leader.
