About The Artwork
The Cutty Sark is a sail ship moored in Greenwich, South London. It was used for transporting tea across the oceans from China to the tea addicted British Empire. It is now a museum and a few years ago during restoration works, it almost went up in flames. It is one of the London landmarks, I like its quiet, ghostly but reassuring presence. The view is from the top of Shooter’s Hill, near the observatory, during a misty summer day.
