New Guinea born Australian Artist, spent her childhood in the highlands of New Guinea. "We had no TV, Playgrounds, or Swimming Pools. Our time was spent playing in one of the most beautiful terraines in the world, our enviroment was our playground. We swam in the Rivers, climbed tall trees and our weekend ventures were often a trip to The Baiyer River Bird Sanctuary where my love of the Bird of Paradise was born" This beautiful painting is the first of a collection in the Bird of Paradise series. "Layers of Acrylic paint were to create the depth of color and the original painting that is 60 x 100 cm .
