About The Artwork

In the "Arboreal Stories" series, I draw inspiration from the nature to create intimate and abstract forest photos. The Cyanotype is a direct print of a transparent negative on qualitative watercolor paper exposed to direct sunlight. Cyanotype blue is a truely magnificant color. Due to the handmade nature, each print is unique and can never be replicated exactly. • Print created on Fabriano watercolor paper. • Paper size 30 x 40 cm, image area 20 x 30 cm. • Shipping - unframed, rolled in a tube. • Each photo is supplied with a Certificate of Authentication and an author’s signature.

I was born, live and work in the city of Chelyabinsk, Ural. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the South Ural State University. In 2018-2020, I worked in the Photo Heritage Department in the State Historical Museum of the South Urals. Member of the Union of Photographers of Russia. Member of the Chelyabinsk photo club "Kamenny Poyas" (Stone Belt). The basic topics of my creative work are closely related to my small motherland. The Urals bears the traces of global human intervention in the external environment in an attempt to rebuild it to fit the specific needs. It is a region where the magnificent nature coexists with environmentally unfriendly areas and many industrial facilities. In my works, I consider the interaction between man and nature, ecology, industrial and post-industrial history of the region. I study the natural and social landscapes of the Urals. In addition, some part of my work is devoted to the abstract photography.
