"Electric Vision" Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

Elena Kulikova creates sensual, vibrant and explosive images utilizing unique multi-layered processes which expand and deepen the work. She explores altered states, through hypnotic and surreal repetition within the photograph to depict change in time and the impermanence of our existence. Elena finds the supernatural in the ordinary and the recognizable in the strange, often within a single image. Innovative processing renders her subjects vivid and dreamlike, bringing together the human and the elemental, allowing the two amplify each other.

Elena learned from other photographers while working as a model and experimenting on her own, yearning to create from something beyond human understanding. Her photography career began in Amsterdam, where her clients included L'Officiel, Virgin Airlines, Lomography, and numerous publications. Her prints have been sold at Colette Paris (the world famous Paris-based Boutique) and the Urban Outfitters Apartment Print Shop. She is currently based in San Francisco.
