For this project Holocaust survivors from the concentration camps in Auschwitz/Buchenwald have been photographed. Each diptych consists of a portrait of the survivor and his/her tattooed number. You will receive a total of two prints: 1 x portrait and 1x tattoo! Each photograph will be signed, identified with edition, lined with a translucent interleaving sheet and shipped in crate. Mounting technique: The photographic print will be mounted onto a .063" aluminum sheet which will be the backing. A clear or opal sheet of plexiglas will be fused with the top of the print. Only the highest quality archival materials will be used in the process. Mounting options and larger customized sizes upon request. Inquire for pricing and shipping options. Born: 1967, Chandigarh, IndiaProfession: PhotographerResidence: New York CityIn my work I focus on the aesthetic qualities that are found within objects, architectural structures and people. The historical background of these diverse entities creates a common platform. Appearances are shaped and reshaped by significant political and social events. The presented photography projects examine the aspects of layered traces of objects and people. The duality of the process of creation versus destruction composes the theme of my photographs.
