Flamingo Photograph

Finding it increasingly difficult to conform to the constraints of commercial photography, I want to break the rules and shoot into the sun. I'm tired of telling lies with the camera, doing the same blue sky shots; prettifying reality, cloning out the crowds and the detrits left behind - creating an artifice . In doing this, I've been turning my back on the degradation of nature that I have seen happening everywhere, allowing the viewer to feel untroubled in an imagined beauty that often, in reality is being lost. By always changing our point of view in order to leave out the ugly, we are collaberating in the Earth's destruction, by making everything look alright. I'm finding solace in making pictures that are being truthfully created. I want to be in the mists and where the light is too low and not worry about the accompanying noise. I want to push the processing boundaries to see what happens. My pictures are clearly a creation and have a story to tell. I am from England but live in France
