“Flow of Green and Blue” is an aerial image photographed from over a moderately shallow water area. The flow of water transitions from the shallow paler green area into a deeper blue expanse. Not only does the water’s surface provide a beautiful texture with tiny whitecaps, but the surface of the sand below is rippled as well.
This photographic work on paper is printed leaving an approximate 2-3 inch white paper border. Works are signed on the front lower right corner border under the image area.
“Flow of Green and Blue” image area size measures 21”x33”.
Paper size measures 24”x36”.
Date of work indicates date of original image capture.
"Flow of Green and Blue" is printed on Epson Legacy Platine or similar fine art paper or similar fine art paper: 100% cotton fiber, smooth surface, satin finish, unique paper that offers the look of a traditional silver halide paper but with a true fine art cotton base. With outstanding black density and color gamut, this paper is ideal for any color print.
As a fine art aerial photographer, I am able to naturally abstract from particular landscapes various colors, textures, and shades of waters, creating images that shed unusual perspectives of everyday panoramas. Currently, my work is concentrated over the waters of Long Island, NY and includes images from the Atlantic Ocean, as well as, the bays, and rivers, and tributaries of the area.
My images draw the observer in and disconnect them from present technology as some are left in disbelief that the images are natural forms not designed within the realm of digital manipulation. Presenting this unique perspective for the viewer excites their imagination and interpretation, while at the same time, creates a new awareness and appreciation for the fragile ecological systems that surround us that can be taken for granted.
