About The Artwork
Some of my images are ‘pure photography’ and others are my images sprinkled with a little somethin’ somethin’ extra. It all started when I had an exhibition lined up in 2017 and I wanted to create something extra special so I decided to channel how I was feeling at the time into the work… I bought a can of spray paint and vandalised my images. The result was a triptych called ‘you are a perishable item’. Since then, I can’t seem to stop myself from vandalising my work - both old and new! And that’s where War Paint comes in. I decided to see what would happen when I unleashed myself on my London Fashion Week work - I loved how the images came out. Yes, some might feel they’re a bit strong, perhaps even a bit confrontational but then again my work and I have already been called pugnacious, so perhaps the final outputs should really not be that surprising. Either way, I hope that you too enjoy the pieces from one of my new-ish favourite ways of working!
