Use is granted only with written permission Fly I is one of six photographs of the serie "INterSECTionS" by artist Giovanni Amandini and photografer Sabrina Biermann. What is an “intersection”? It is a place where two or more “things” come together and join. In this case, it is the formal encounter between a set of objects (fashion accessories) and the therefrom resulting insects. An encounter favouring contact, a connection, so that simultanously one side becomes part of the other by means of a set of points common to both, overlapping to the extent that a choice must be made: do I see fashion objects or do I see insects? INterSECTionS want to be a representation of common grounds. It delivers a shape, which conveys elements and phenomena that characterize and affect the life span of both fashion, as well as the lives of most insects: process of transitory stadiums (metamorphisis), beauty and seasonality (ephemerality).
