Using an AI-based style and amazing photographic composition, Phillip brings to life the love of the country and its people. The photograph captures a scene of the Australian countryside, with rolling hills and a small lake in the foreground. The beauty of the landscape is enhanced by the monochromatic colour palette, which gives the landscape a sense of depth and intensity. The contrast of the stark black and white tones also highlights the subtle details of the environment, such as the trees, the grass, and the rippling water. The composition of the photograph further reinforces Phillip’s message of love for country and the importance of the connection between culture and land. The viewer is drawn in by the vastness of the landscape, and the image encourages contemplation of the relationship between humans and nature. The lack of human presence in the image also serves to remind the viewer of the need to protect and appreciate the environment. Overall, Phillip Coory’s ‘Country not far from Melbourne’ is a stunning visual representation of the love of country.

Australia
Phillip is a visual artist who was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He has always had an inclination towards creative activities and making art. While still at school he took up photography and over the years has honed his skills in the ways of light, subject, and composition and color. Over time Phillip’s drive and obsessive passion for taking pictures steered his photography in the direction of abstract, non-representational imagery, and much like the abstract expressionist artists, of whom he is so fond, has sought to ‘break away from traditional forms of representation and to create a new, more personal and emotional form of art’. Over time, what Phillip calls his, ‘abstract photographic art’, which he creates by combining manipulated colors, contrasts, and situations has begun to incorporate the use of AI-inspired algorithms. This technology is being used to cross-pollinate ideas and styles, variously creating completely new and extraordinary images as a result, the new artworks combining the immediacy of the act of taking the photograph with a style and tradition of another time and place. Phillip’s work has been praised for its ability to capture the beauty and nuances of the everyday world, and his technical skill and ability to create powerful, emotive images is well regarded. Phillip continues to push the boundaries of his art, constantly experimenting and exploring new methods to create captivating images. As an artist, the use of AI to create the artwork adds a certain level of complexity to the work, giving it a futuristic edge. The intriguing combination of photography and AI gives the pieces a dream-like quality, making them almost otherworldly. Phillip's art allows the viewer to explore different perspectives and interpretations, creating a truly immersive viewing experience. His abstract art serves as a reminder that technology can be a powerful tool in creating works of art that are both captivating and thought-provoking.
