About The Artwork

Without doubt this is one of my most favorite photos that I've taken in my life. It's a moment in time that can never be repeated or replicated. This was taken after a freak and very rare snow fall in Dun Laoghaire Harbour. I captured this on a December dawn and the scene could not have been more perfect with the snow coverd band stand which had just been renovated. With the addition of the Earl of Pembrook in the background with it's transformation and tempory renaming into the Hispanolia for filiming Sky TV's Treasure Island how could I want for more? The original 1st print remains in my livingroom where I look upon it daily. This is the first time and the only website where I have agreed to offer it for sale as a reprint. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Over the years I've been a chef and an IT engineer working across Europe before returning to Ireland in 2016 and falling back into the family fold, namely photography and art. My father was a photographer, TV cameraman and a lighting director for Irish, British and Australian broadcasting companies while my cousins were/are classical landscape painters. My wife is also a classically trained artist, her professional training started when she was 12 in Kiev and has been rewarded twice with the President of Ukraine Award for Achievements in Arts. Art in some form has always been part of my life. About ten years ago I set up my first photography blog, initially it was to advertise my work. However, due to my methods of finding remote sceneries around Europe via motorcycle the blog morphed into a motorcycle travel magazine (www.RoadTrooper.com) and I became a travel writer and videographer (https://www.youtube.com/roadtroopermagazine) From this I've specialised in photographing "idyllic" roads for various travel/touring magazines. Throughout all this I have never given up my passion for finding peace through photographing and painting nature in the remotest rural locations I can find. These days I continue to run the RoadTrooper website and offer photography trips into the Highlands of Kerry and the Beara Peninsula from RoadTrooper's Rest, my BnB in Killarney.
