THE PROJECT: ‘GAIA BY THE SEA’ While in Nassau, Bahamas and judging an international beauty pageant, I was invited to photograph at the island home of fashion designer Peter Nigard. There were 6 of these earns about his beach, each billowing light and smoke at night. LIMITED EDITION: 12 of 150 INSPIRATION: Here, as in much of my work with the female form, I wanted to create a piece of artwork that expressed a simple elegance. I was inspired by the blending of blues and aqua colors along with the soft clouds and water. The nobleness of the soft female beside the solid large earn brought to mind the Greek goddess of all life, Gaia. MUSE: My muse for this image was the remarkable painterly scene that unfolded in front of me, along with a soft spring breeze of ocean air. ‘Life’! -THIS ARTWORK IS AVAILABLE IN ADDITIONAL DIMENSIONS?
