Karolina was born in Sosnowiec, Poland, she now lives and works in North Wales. Skorek combines her love of art history with her admiration of technology, which results in surreal works, with a timeless nostalgic feeling created by combining photographs and paintings, her work is reminiscent of Old Masters of Painting. Karolina has an endless curiosity and fascination with humanity and the depths of the human psyche, she is exploring this in her painting-like portraits.
