Digital Print / Face mount / Plexi mount Title: "Gunsight Pass" (2014) Artist statement: "This shot was made from a helicopter in a hover looking down Gunsight Pass in Montana, USA. The Continental Divide runs from left to right. Easily one of the most difficult aerial shots I've made. We removed all doors and windows of the Bell Jet Ranger 206 to obtain a completely unrestricted view of this scene. We were at a high altitude. The rotor downwash combined with the gusty winds coming down the pass from the Continental Divide made it very difficult to frame this shot. The interior of the heli was awash in exhaust. Despite the fact it was late June, the temperatures were bone chilling. Truly a once in a lifetime image. I relished every second of this scene." Created with a Hasselblad H4D medium format camera for exquisite detail. The artist meticulously recreated the scene he witnessed from the RAW file. This print measures 203 cm by 152 cm (80 in by 60 in) and will be made full bleed using 1/8" Sintra metallic paper mounted under 3/16" plexiglass. The acrylic will be flame finished and edge polished. It will be custom crated for shipping, fully insured. Crate size 224 cm x 173 cm (88" x 60"). Artist can be made available to sign and number the edition. The print will ship with a Certificate of Authenticity, made of premium deckle edged mould made paper, a Hahnemühle watermark, fluorescent security fibers and a serialized numbered hologram. A second, identically numbered hologram will also be applied to the reverse side of the artwork. The combination of certificate and hologram assures that each Certificate of Authenticity relates to one particular piece of art.
