Dovilė Dagienė - Doda (born 1981) is an artist and photographer who lives and works in Vilnius. In 2007 graduated from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, Photography and Media Art with MA degree. She is DFA student in the Photography and Media Art Department at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. Research interests include memory, imagination, time and place in photography. Since 2006 she has been participating in group exhibitions and has held several solo shows in Lithuania and abroad. Her series “Boy With a Stick” has been nominated and awarded the second prize at the World Photography Awards 2015. Presented series “Suspended Light: Two Suns” from the project Here Then, There Now, was already noticed by International Photography Grant 2018 Experimental category and awarded 3rd place. In 2019, she received the J. Dovydėnas Prize (Lithuanian Photographers Association) for the most significant humanistic and documentary photography projects, works of art and exhibitions. Currently she’s working the boundaries of analogue photographic mediums with her latest project on astrophotography.
