About the Artist
L Konczal
Lisa Konczal is a Los Angeles based photographer and author with Southern roots. She was trained at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies, has worked with an array of Oscar, Emmy and Grammy-winning filmmakers and musicians and documented people on five continents.
Her most recent project, Through the Lens of an American Woman Alone in Cuba, can be found on Saatchi, which is a series shot the week before Obama's first step in Cuba this past March, 2016. A photojournalistic book by the same name will be published this fall.
Lisa's company, Vérité Creative, applies her documentary background to shoot stills on the sets of feature films, music videos and for television. She is passionate about music and also produces videos of live concerts, recording sessions and stills for album covers etc. Lisa is also a professional dancer specializing in various Latin and Country dances.
