Sebastian Artz is an award-winning photographer and director best known for his powerful yet relatable imagery in advertising and for his portraits of Hollywood celebrities and rock stars including Dave Grohl, Green Day, and the Beastie Boys. He possesses a diverse roster of clients having shot and directing global advertising campaigns for celebrities, musicians, and world-renown fashion brands. However, it’s his personal projects that have landed him in exhibition galleries both in the US and abroad. Born in Romania and raised in Duesseldorf, Germany, Artz started his photographic career shortly after a college exchange at UCLA’s film school, which brought him to Los Angeles. The city famous for its light reignited his passion for photography and the immediate recognition he received solidified his decision to work with still and moving images.
