About The Artwork

I often notice intricate details in nature revealing how things grow and develop over time. My idea with this work was to provide insight, convey fragility and a message that is ever present in nature mixed with the creativity of photography and the photographic digital editing process. If viewers gain an appreciation for something as simple and common as a leaf then the world we live becomes an incredible source of wonder and appreciation. I hope too that the message nature is continually sending us is passed on through these images and that viewers gain a sense of importance to do the same back to nature. Nature will do what it does with or without us but if we live in harmony and appreciation we will forever thrive.

Originally from Reading in the UK Stephen E-Moran currently resides in Sydney, Australia with his wife and two sons. His passion is to share the stunning and striking beauty of the world we co-exist in, using photography to inspire, awaken and remind people just how much beauty there is in the world. Stephen was born in 1975 and having started out using film many years ago continues to do so today along with digital photography. Despite the incredible advances of digital technology Stephen still enjoys using film as it maintains a special connection between photographer and scene being captured without the temptation to disrupt the moment by checking each result or continually amend technical components. 'Whether digital or film I like to keep the process simple and my focus on what's unfolding. Be prepared, pre-determine the settings required then just click when the moment feels right.'
