ZONE TEMPORANEAMENTE AUTONOME / TEMPORARY AUTONOMOUS ZONES Places that are escaped from or that still elude the normal structures of control. Spaces that, develop to a real autonomy, untied from the mechanisms of society or even opposing them, have been evolved in an independent way, getting rid of their taxing functions and inventing a new "destination of use". "When observing these photographs it is possible to imagine another time when the personal and at times painful histories of very different people intersected these same places, intertwining with the destiny of their city and even their countries. An existing rift between private and public can be sensed, the disproportion and the separation between humanist thought and efficient/industrial thought. De Marco in his work unearths the space of important functional architecture, joining the past with the present, while shaping the future. He also reveals the absence of men, of their toil and pain, showing how the only thing remaining of their aspirations is some old control panel, rust and emptiness, both physical and sensed; useless architectural structures in the process of disintegration." Walter Criscuoli, Photographer and Teacher at ArtSchool Udine Fine Art Giclèe Print, 100% cotton, museum quality paper. The print comes with a 5cm white border. "I like to be curious: it's a striving job, but a “playing on” the habits, put them to the test and examine their cognitive range, estrange the perception and the intended use of the objects that i encounter, allows me to discover things about myself that i didn't know, or that i knew without knowing that i knew them."
