The latest images in this series were taken August, 2018, at Banje Beach in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik has recently and very suddenly been swarmed by more tourists than it can handle. One interesting by-product of perhaps this, and of it's location near the city center, is that Banje Beach seems to serve as the heart of the city. On its rocky shore, you see all aspects of local life play out. Candid images seem deliberately orchestrated. In this image, a woman has made the rocks her living room and casually reads her book, the very picture of a 1950s tourist poster selling la Dolce Vita.
