Stefano Morelli's photography wants to be a story, wants to find out and tell a story: the story of beauty, collecting and stopping the words-images, in every aspect of human life and... objects life, giving them a soul and a story,a life, a smile or a tear, making it alive. Through photography, trying to tell and make "visible" - "present", even what is not shown in the frame. Thoughts, feelings, absences, expectations. Giving the image the chance to project itself over time, not just in the present, in the moment, but also tell its past, and imagine its future. In the series "Solitudes" every picture tells a story. The story of a solitude in which the protagonist, is not only the subject of the shot, but it is also out of the frame: "the presence of the absent" A double protagonist, visible and not visible in the shot, capturing the subject in its solitude, making and telling the state of mind of the targeted subject: "Absence is present." The painting by Stefano Morelli is a journey that does not know the final goal, which discovers itself and comes to life right on the trip, and stops when, in its evolution, in the creative process, it manages to find beauty, find a shape and represent the beauty. The "non-place" of departure is a blank white paper, a blank canvas, a virgin track to go through and fill with experience. The experience of the journey itself, the same track, that will change, will change. it will become from a means of "transport", the fate of the trip. Thanks to the fusion with colors and movement. A kind of "stream of consciousness" of colors and movement. Brushes and colors, have their own life and stop when they meet an image that can tell us something, somehow.
