Born in Toledo, Ohio, on March 30th, 1938 at 1:29 P.M., Thom photographs everybody & everything. Since Thom was raised in Ohio, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee, he naturally met a lot of people, so it is no surprise that people are one of his many favorite subjects. While working as a production manager on the filmed portions of "DATELINE: HOLLYWOOD", a five-day-a-week morning day time show on ABC-TV, starring Rona Barrett & Joanna Barnes, Thom had the opportunity to photograph many celebrities from stage, screen, television and radio. When "DATELINE" went off the air, Thom returned to advertising and moved to New York, continuing to free-lance for ABC-TV, UniRoyal, Western Electric and the American Merchandise Corporation. While photographing for the American Merchandise Corporation Thom was able to photograph many fashion designers such as Bill Blass, Bobbie Brooks and their creations. A Miamian since 1972, Thom has done photography for the airline industry, the banking community, local hospitals, and charities. He is still able to maintain his New York clients with monthly commutes. Not forgetting why he chose photography, Thom sells his fine art photos of people (his favorite subject), places and things to private collectors all over the world. Thom is presently exploring and experimenting with High Resolution Digital Imaging in film and video.
