Christina Renee Rodriguez is a Kansas based photographer. In 2011 She began to pursue fine art professionally. She is an active member of The Center for Fine Art Photography Colorado, Center Gallery (Santa Fe), Saatchi Gallery Online, Professional Women Photographers NYC, Humble Arts Foundation, ICT Photo walks, Wichita area Photography, and The Artifacts Group. She exhibits work nationally and at local venues such as, City Arts, Artifacts Gallery, Shift Space Gallery, KMH Gallery, and was recently awarded Best of Show and second place at the fifth annual 2012 national juried photography exhibition at Tangent Lab. Her work is held in national and international private collections. Her desire to share the joy of photography has led to volunteering at Brooks Middle School where she started The Clique, a group that mentors girls through photography. The Clique meets every Tuesday during lunch and recess during the school year. The group became very popular and has grown to over forty members. Recent Clique projects include, Me Myself and Eye-Exploring the self-portrait, My Saturday Your Saturday- a one-day documentary project, and Cyanotypes! A Blast From The Past. Christina has been an ardent student and a passionate photographer for over 20 years. She is primarily self-taught in regards to chemical photography although with her recent entrance into digital photography, she has completed several digital workshops and is looking forward to a fine art printing workshop with John Paul Caponigro July of 2012.
