About The Artwork
Late afternoon light brought out the brilliance of the red toned rock of the Mitten Butte and lit the light clouds against the deep blue sky. The pine tree framed the butte and acted as a directional element. In 2013, I went back to this location and found that the pine tree was no longer standing.
