About The Artwork

I chose photography as the medium because it allows for a powerful and immediate connection with the viewer. The subject matter of a man covering his face with his hands was selected to represent the universal gesture of hiding one's pain, a moment many can relate to. I opted for a stark, dramatic style to emphasize the intensity of the emotion, using lighting and shadows to draw attention to the subject's distress and the isolation he feels. This approach helps to convey the depth of the moment and the profound impact of despair.
