MOUNTAIN SUNSET Photograph - Limited Edition of 20

The Canadian Rocky Mountains are deeply personal to me. It is in the Rockies that my younger bother died from an avalanche while conducting avalanche tests for Parks Canada, for whom he worked to protect the park, the animals and those who travel to visit the Park system. As a photographer, I spend time photographing these areas to capture the haunting beauty of the mountains and to spend time in contemplation. This is a panorama composition which was stitched together from six vertical images with the thought of creating a large format panorama. The 17:6 aspect ratio is one that I commonly use for panoramas. This ratio has the right balance of impact and a very pleasing proportion. Near this scene of the Mount Lawrence Grassi peak just outside Canmore, Alberta my sister in law lives as well as Canadian Olympic cross-country ski legend, Becky Scott, who is also a good friend. This area is accessible and memorable. If you ever have the chance, it is well worth the visit. When you visit, you will feel the meaning in the quote, The Mountains are Calling, and I must go. This limited edition print is offered as an edition of 20 fine art, archival prints on museum grade archival paper. Each image is printed at my studio, hand signed by me and shipped to you with a certificate of authenticity. During the printing and production of your print, it will be handled with white cotton gloves from beginning to end. I will also include a new pair of white cotton gloves for your use and for your framer to use. The image size of this print is 36" long and 12.5" deep. A generous amount of white paper will surround the image to allow for the signature and title as well as to help your framer.
