About The Artwork
A poignant image for me. This is an image of photos of my Grandparents at the beginning and end of their lives. The top image was taken on their wedding day in 1942. My Grandad was in the Navy, and had taken leave to get married to my Nan. Then not long after had to back into service in the Merchant Navy. The bottom image was taken some 60 years later. An image I took after my Nan has suffered a stroke and not long before she passed away. I feel very lucky to have been able to put these two contrasting images together into one image.
