Influenced by 20th-century French photography, he developed as an editorial photographer, undertaking campaigns for magazines and brands of the fashion industry. He achieved the best expression in his work with female nudes, black and white portraits, and spaces that narrate emotions. He portrays people, places, and moments. "My works do not have answers; they address questions about human passions." For Aristotle, human passions have no solution. As a species, we transmit technology and knowledge from one generation to another. Each generation, each of us, must resolve love, joy, anger, fear, hatred, craving, envy, pity, accompanied by pain and pleasure. For Plato, passions focus on the orbits of pleasure and pain. Passions are part of humanity and its existential reality. Following Spinoza, we can reduce them to three: desire, pleasure, and pain. If art is a human passion, it also has no solution and reaches us regardless of our age or how much we have seen or studied on the subject. Just as human passions have no solution, our relationship with art arouses our curiosity and wonder. Art has no answers; it only addresses questions, questions anchored in passions that come to us as whispers of a muse that can lead us to pleasure, pain, and desire. Charlie Navarro defines himself as a Fashion and Fine Art photographer. Passionate about the giclée method, he copies his own work on Hahnemühle conservation cotton. Influenced by French fashion photography, he developed as an editorial photographer, undertaking campaigns for magazines and brands of the fashion industry. The best expression of his work is the black and white portrait and the spaces that narrate emotions. He portrays people, places, and moments. He collaborates with plastic artists in the reproduction, archiving, and creation of their works in his studio as part of the artistic movement of the Central Park Building in Barracas, Buenos Aires. Since September 2020, he has collaborated with Revista Brooke as an editorial photographer and columnist. Revista Brooke gave me the opportunity to express myself in editorial photography.
