New Growth In Quarantine Photograph

Sick during quarantine, the artist spent most of the summer on the porch, sleeping in the sun. One particular plant offered shade while it outgrew her. Nearing the end of her illness, in a very unfocused moment, she discovered new growth behind mature leaves. When it seemed that the world had stopped, Nature had, in fact, continued. The intention in capturing the photo is in reminding the viewer to find new hope in devastation. Canvas was chosen to enhance the natural texture of the leaf. Fine art paper is a suitable substitute for a frameable project.
