Fergus Coyle is an acclaimed British editorial and portrait photographer. His body of work, A Walk through Wuhan earned him the overall winner of the prestigious Global Sino Awards in 2023. In addition to his achievements, Fergus Coyle has also earned recognition as a finalist in several prestigious photography competitions. Notable among these accolades are The Royal Photographic Society International Photography Award, The Kuala Lumpur International Photography Awards, Lens Culture Visual Storytelling Awards and featuring in Month of Photography L.A. His portraiture has also been shortlisted for awards such as the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, Portrait of Britain and The British Photography Awards. Fergus Coyle's approach to photography involves working with a pair of medium format cameras; a rangefinder and studio camera, both of which employ a unique 6x8 format. This approach allows him to capture subjects in a distinct manner, emphasizing a traditional, slower-paced methodology that brings out the richness and depth of his subjects.
