This work derives from a state of contemplation. I question who I am in society. I question what my identity, or what our identities should, or should not appear to be. Growing up in a multi-racial family, I saw much divide within our domestic space. It pulled my family apart. I imagined myself transforming my race, my color of skin, my hair and who I was into a myriad of physical possibilities.
