#11 of 11 images in a collection exploring vision relating to perception. Cosmos, galaxies; seen as the 'outer' - DNA, capillaries and atomic structure; seen as the 'inner'. Images of both/all are remarkably alike... A tangental exploration of who and what is 'looking out' and who and what is 'looking in'. The relative size of us - in relation to space -in relation to a quark in the atom in an ant's eye. This is the final piece in this series: ‘Looking’ at the ways that collective and individual conditioning can ‘colour’ the information we process. How ‘seeing’ a certain way influences mood. Beliefs. Lives. Ways of living. Being. Interacting. Using/manipulating magnified images of my eyes as metaphor to view crosshairs in our shared ‘sights’. Exploring focus (literally and symbolically). Staring at concepts, people, places and issues that one/we/'they' can be blinkered/blind or 'colour-blind' to. Things that inhabit the fringe. Favelas, marginalisation, slums. Beauty. Your lover.
