CEDRIC ANGELES is a Photographer / Director working out of New Orleans and New York. Born and raised in the Philippines, he studied Photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Upon graduating, Photo District News (PDN) named him one of 30 New and Emerging Photographers to watch. Cedric Angeles crafts joyful and moving narratives for audiences worldwide. Cedric’s career began in the editorial world, traveling the globe shooting for award-winning publications. He now shares his passion for exploration and incredible ability to connect with any subject with a broader client base, being called on by companies working in food, hospitality and lifestyle products to tell their brands’ stories in stills and motion. Selected clients includes Esquire, Food + Wine, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Allure, GQ, Bon Appetit, DWELL, Martha Stewart Living, Deutch Agency, JWT London, 22Squared, among others. HIs personal work is rooted in the spirit of a documentarian with an interest in the narrative. He is constantly on the move, photographing places and cultures with the goal of understanding how other people live. Projects like “Milk & Blood”, a document of shepherds around the world and “Homesick”, images from his homeland of the Philippines are not the sort of colorful and luxurious lifestyle photographs he’s know for editorially - they have a more gritty, urgent reportage style. He is currently directing his feature documentary debut, CHINGONA, a story about the lives of three female boxers in different stages of their careers in Mexico City.
