Danielle.J was born in the 80’s in London and spent most of the following 30 years between Europe, Central America and Japan. An abstract nude and erotic photographer, Danielle.J has been popular with a number of Japanese collectors with many commissioning controversial projects in Art and Fashion. Danielle. J is commonly known for throwing censorship out the window, focusing on an incredibly vulnerable raw human form. Feminism and homosexuality is a substantial subject presented in the work and women are the central subjects. A number of later collections include red marker lines and heat burns to add contrast, highlighting the distrust and modern hate we have towards our bodies, a result of social comparison, judgement and conformity. 2014 - 2018 Polaroid’s have been exhibited in Tokyo and New York, with many directed and commissioned by Private Galleries. Works are stamped with a black ink thumbprint on the rear, showing a unique scar and authenticating the originality.
