About The Artwork
Quechua is a black and white portrait of the daughter of Sophia an inspirational friend of mine who sells woven textiles from Bolivia. This was taken at the entrance of the shop where the children would climb upon piles of woven bags and rugs as Sophia would and still sells her wares in the beautiful city of Sucre in Southern Bolivia. For this portrait I used the classic Nikon Fm 2 , 35 mm film in the old fashioned style. The print is hand made from a dark room. No digital technology has been used.
