This piece is from the layered "slow living" series. I feel life in layers – the world sings, moves, touches, glimpses and is full of smells; emotion lays over emotion, one thought changes the other. When you experience those moments really slowly, they tend to form layered emotions. Saturday in Venice is a laundry day. I love the picture with three socks - a real human phenomena that affects everyone on the planet... Giclée print on archival paper, numbered and signed on the front.

I stole Zenit from my Dad to make "real shoots" with my 9 or so year old friends. I felt in love with the sound of Nikon shutter when I was 17. My first salary in the bank was spent on buying my first real camera. I run away from well paid job to study photography in Moscow. And returned to earn more to equip my studio. Since 2007 photography earns my living. I have tried dancing, painting, drawing, raising kids... and always returned to camera as extension of my soul. I believe in slow living, minimalism and authenticity - sometimes including, sometimes excluding each other.
