ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Shiprock (Naat áanii Nééz), New Mexico, 2011 Note: The brick wall is not included (for illustrative purposes only). This is a photograph on high quality professional paper mounted on Dibond aluminum substrate (see details below) Shot with a Sony a7R camera, using a 55mm Zeiss lens (the sharpest autofocus lens ever tested by ). The 43.5 inch high x 65.5 inch wide print, using Moab Entrada 100% cotton paper (), fine-art, archival paper, and, printed with archival, permanent, Giclée pigments (). After printing, the print is given 2 coats of Breathing Color Timeless varnish, applied with a robotic, HVLP spray system. This gives the print UV protection, anti glare, and protection against the elements. Varnished print can be cleaned with a damp sponge. Once varnished the print is dry-mounted to Dibond e-panel, a 1/8 inch aluminum substrate, (), using a DryTac Vacuum Press. Suitable for outdoor display, out of the sun and covered by an awning to keep rain off the surface. NOTE: Limited Edition (LE 1/15). The print will be signed by Mark Goebel, before shipping. A Certificate of Authenticity will also be included.. If you wish to order a 43.5 inch wide x 65.5 inch high print ONLY, (not mounted on Dibond e-panel and not varnished), mailed in a tube, contact Saatchiart customer service at Shipping weight: 28.5 pounds. NOTE: Artwork will be shipped in a box rather than a tube as specified. Saatchiart does not allow this size artwork to be shipped in a box, but rather in a crate. Shipping in a crate will require you to pay too much for shipping. So we have specified shipping in a tube to lower your shipping costs to what they would normally be shipped in a box. Your purchased artwork will be sandwiched between 2 pieces of 2” foam. This composite will then be placed in a thick, corrugated cardboard box fit to size. SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I have photographed 44 years; 37 years film, the rest digital. When I moved to New Mexico (from North Dakota) in 2010, I got my first digital camera and started doing landscapes and churches. I convert many of them to Black and White, using a technique called chromatic grayscale conversion. I enjoy the quest of locating, finding the landscapes and churches and capturing not only an image, but the spirit, the unique personality, the phenomena that sometimes occurs. For the landscapes, the phenomenon may  include the varying climate, light, luminance, composition. For me, this is the idea of ‘natural phenomena’. For the churches, the phenomenon may include the creativity of the artisans who constructed them; the indigenous materials; the unique personality. For me, this is the idea of ‘elemental phenomena’. Often I wait for the full moon to illuminate the scene; to reveal a bit of its secrets, its texture, colors, emotions, that emerge only at night.
