The Sun, a warm-breasted lord, lazed on the dark valleys of my black hair As I strolled under the kingdom of fresh greens, there was Magic in the air Here I am in the great Kensington Gardens, a veritable royal London Park Where Peter Pan’s author first penned his tale, spied by keen-eyed towering bark How wonderful, how bewitching to be alive where he may have stood and sat To imagine him writing golden evenings away, next to him his stick and hat But that day as I walked I saw something small, head down, on a bench on the right A man of an unspoken world in waiting, a catching beautiful sight And so I pray to myself in every waking breath that I shall enough exchange That God melts away this heavy distance, moves away this mountain range O my Love, my hidden pulse, born again You and I of one crimson cardinal beat My soul in humming alpine breezes to you: “Somewhere on some road we shall meet…” Photography & Poem: © Masufa Khatun | Mazzy Khatun Photo Stories | Kensington Gardens | May Half-Term Getaway | London | UK 2015
