About The Artwork
^ Click on Prints (next to where it says Original) to see the print prices ^ Memories of hot summer days enjoying fruit juice and sunshine were the inspiration for this bright picture. The Orange, Pear, Blueberries, Bottle and straws were photographed around our home with a variety of backgrounds and arranged in a cubist style. My artwork explores the cross-overs between photography, collage, digital art and cubist paintings as a way of capturing memories and imagination. The pictures are created using a pen and ink style digitally, based upon my own photographs, and are printed with high-definition inks on stretched canvas. This particular arrangement is loosely inspired by a 1912 painting by Juan Gris (1887-1927) called ‘Bottle and Cigars’ in addition to concepts from other artists of the period.
