Sunset Assassin (Canvas) Limited Edition 1 of 5 Photograph

Sometimes as a photographer you get lucky. I was doing some promo shots for the lead singer of a band called The Babysitars. I told him to bring his microphone and stand for some outdoor shots. You always see band members posing with guitar outdoors but never a microphone, this only happens in live or recording studio shots and I wanted something different. On the way to the location the sky was one of those rare orangey yellows because of a big sun. We were near a main road that had a high up walk over. So I told him to get himself up on the walkway and pose like an assassin using his mic stand as a rifle. The way the sky was back lit him into silhouette. I took two or three photos but knew I had a great result. You can rarely plan for a shot like this but I have always been good at spotting a great composition and improvisation to get something that stands out or is unique. This and a few other shots were used to promote the album ' My two minds are 8 miles high' by Babysitars. This is now on limited edition canvas.It will also have a numbered certificate.
