This photomontage is from the series "Animus imperat corpori " meaning "Spirit commands the body". It is inspired by the illusionnal worlds that we create and live in. Parked and free. So we are in a way. "The Great Illusion Of Freedom" is a reminder that all is illusory. Even the invisible barriers are illusory and we can free ourselves from it. About the medium : This limited edition image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1.6 mm (1/16") thick aluminum, is signed and numbered by me. I chose this medium as the high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of the image to produce stunning results. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a smaller frame which is attached to the back. The frame includes a hanging system for easy mounting. As the ink is bonded to the metal, the print is extremely durable. It's lightweight, water resistant and won't bend.
