My name is Steph Valentine. I gradudated with a BA Hons Fine Art in 2009 from Northampton University. My Degree Show concentrated in exploing the impact of mass production and consumersim. I created a large installation resembling a room using 100 microwaves in which the occupant could sit and contemplate the effect of mass production and consumerim on our daily lives. I am greatly influenced by Joseph Beuys, Cildo Meireles, Tracey Emin and Rachel Whiteread to name but a few. My most recent work has involved looking at alternative materials from which to create art from. I am generally known for using jigsaw as a material and continue to work on ways of producing interesting, abstract art using the humble jigsaw.
