The Violence of the Truth - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

A couple of years ago I was asked by a graphics company to design a catalog to illustrate their printing techniques. Among the various proposals I presented, there was one inspired by experimental cinema, (which has always been my passion), I thus created sequences using the isolated frames of various films by different authors, in particular Viennese actionism, from Kurt Kren to Otto Müehl, Peter Tscherkassky, Carolee Schneemann, Gunter Brus, Frans Zwartjes, and many others. Since these are single isolated frames, the image takes on different outlines, film defects invisible to the naked eye are also highlighted on the frames and the expression of the object reproduced takes on a new connotation. Building these new 24-frame sequences the effect is alienating. The project of making it into an exhibition involves printing each single sequence in large format 7.87 x 63.78 inch the work for sale concerns some print proofs of single frames in a reduced format printed on japan paper.
