The veil Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

This photograph was made in November 2016, while i was walking through the forest in Carpathian Mountains in Western Ukraine. It was dark and wet after the rain and suddenly i've noticed this spot of light falling on the fallen tree, all covered with moss. I felt a moment of intimacy with the tree. It suddenly became not dead but alive, giving life for thousands of organisms around it. It happened to be a micro-theatre, fragment of something great. The light reminded me the veil that hides something beautiful behind. Something, that you don't have access to. So the choice was made - i was lucky to have my 21mm lens with me. Body of the tree was laying straight, like an arrow, leading the eyes to the scene, to the veil. Focus was taken at the beginning of this tree, to make the limit of access clear for those who are looking. It should have an effect of mystery, secret, that is so close to uncover, but yet so far.
