About The Artwork
Captured on the last day of the year, this sunset is a metaphor of sorts. A quaint medieval town in the Umbria region of central Italy, Perugia, is know for hosting the annual EuroChocolate and Umbria Jazz festivals. The locals, however, know it is infamous for its views. Its hilltop location allows for multiple viewpoints of the valley surrounding it from dusk til dawn. This particular photo was taken near Ristorante del Sole looking out toward Assisi.
