United We Stand - This Bag Is Proudly Made In New York City - Limited Edition of 25 Photograph

I was living In New York when 9/11 happened. Life after the attack brought on a number of things that reminded us on a daily basis of what had just occurred. Nothing was no more like before. And in addition to the overwhelming torpor, small details, like this little plastic bag, however fleeting and fragile that it was, contained within itself the state of mind in which the majority of New Yorkers felt they were. I remember going grocery shopping a few days after the attack. Once back home, I was contemplating the simple yet powerful message written on my shopping bag. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. I framed it. Later on, I took a picture of it, within its frame, compressed by the glass. The photograph in Black and White, Raw and impactful, really expressed everything I felt back then. 20 years later, the little compressed bag is still in my studio, perfectly framed, a little faded, displayed like a precious relic. The picture represents the bag in its actual size. All profits from the sale of this photograph are sent to Tuesday's Children. Started after 9/11, this charity aims to provide support, such as mental health help as well as career and counseling programs, to survivors of the attacks and families of victims.
