Vita e bella - Channeling Photograph - Limited Edition of 3

La vita e bella is an Italian phrase and in translation it means life is beautiful. I removed the article (La) so that Vita would represent the nickname I gave to this model – the girl who posed for me. Vita is beautiful indeed. In this series, I sought the beauty of intimacy and connection between a person and a space. I captured the model’s playfulness and sort of “oneness” with space. However, when a being, or better say a person is attached to a space, inner freedom arises. At its final state, synchronicity with space ultimately leads to liberation of the spirit and restraints. Paradox laughs at me again: binding leads to freedom. Thus, the belonging of a being to a space also has a dimension that is not only visual (material), but also spiritual, ideological. With this series, I tried to tell the story of the oneness of the being (spirit) and space (material).
